I had heard of Kollaboration SF before (“an annual event and movement produced by young Asian and Pacific Islander (API) professionals and students to promote a strong API presence in entertainment and media.”), but had never attended a show. I even remember hearing that Jeremy Lin was a Kollaboration SF special guest back in September 2012 before LINSANITY happened. In any case, I had the opportunity to attend this past Saturday, August 3rd. The finalists included:
There were also guest performances by past Kollaboration winners, as well as a open singing and dance competition (which was entertaining, but to some degree, extended the overall show and I think distracted from the focus of the competition itself).
The Audience Award winner was Melvin Sing! and the Grand Prize Winner was &Blue.
